ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Peter and his wife, Mary, moved to Durham in 2019, and he joined the staff of Waypoint in 2023 to serve as an Associate Pastor and Church Planting Resident.

 

Peter graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2010, and from there, he continued his ministry training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div) and the University of Edinburgh (M.Th.) in Scotland. Peter has served with the staff of a few church plants, and he was a pastor of revitalization at a church in the Boston area for about four years. Peter joins the pastoral team at Waypoint with the plans of eventually being sent out to plant or revitalize a church somewhere in the Triangle.

 

Peter & Mary have a YouTube channel where they chronicle Mary’s journey with Cystic Fibrosis, and they are passionate about sharing the ways that God takes the most hard and hurtful things in our lives and redeems them for good. Peter & Mary have an adorable son, Elijah, and they have a heart for foster care and adoption. In addition, Peter loves boating, fishing… and really any activity out on the water.
